Helgerit was founded in 1968 in Riederich near Metzingen in Baden-Württemberg as a sales and service company for machine tools. The company name is an acronym for the headquarters of the partner companies at the time in Germany, Italy and Switzerland and stands for quality from HELvetia, GERmania and ITalia. Today, Helgerit works with partners all over the world, especially from Italy, England, France, Switzerland, Spain, India and China.

Initially, Helgerit concentrated on sintered plain bearings and sliding plates as well as hydraulic hose reels. Over the years, the sales program has been continuously expanded. In the area of ​​plain bearings, Helgerit now offers rolled plain bearings, solid bronze plain bearings and plastic plain bearings in addition to sintered plain bearings.

Under the general term “drive technology”, the delivery program has been expanded to include ball bearing shims, wave springs, retaining rings, tolerance rings as well as sintered molded parts and sintered filters.

Since the 1990s, Helgerit has also been offering vehicle parts and vintage car spare parts. In this segment, Helgerit often acts as a German or European sales representative for foreign manufacturers.
